The MP is back from repair

I bought my dream camera, a brand-new black paint Leica MP, in 2021. Nearly everything about the camera is perfect. My only complaint has been that I thought the rewind mechanism was too stiff. Since the MP has the old-style rewind knob, any extra tension while rewinding the film is noticeable. It bothered me enough that I sent it back to Leica in 2022. It came back improved after they adjusted it and replaced a roller.
Recently, though, I noticed it seemed that rewinding was becoming more difficult again. This time, I sent it to DAG Camera Repair. Don Goldberg might be the most well-known and respected Leica repair person in the world. He did a CLA on my M3 a few years ago and the camera has been flawless since.
I heard back from Don last week, and he said he didn't think the rewind was any more difficult than it should be, but he lubed and adjust things anyway. He guessed that he improved the tension by 15-20%. I trust Don.
He also adjusted the shutter speeds and made a slight adjustment to the rangefinder.
I received the camera from Don yesterday. I didn't have a throw-away roll to try, so there's a roll of HP5 in it now and I'll find out how the rewind feels shortly.
It's great to have the MP back in hand. It's a marvelous camera.
